The Variegated Stellar Pink® dogwood, developed by Rutgers, has outstanding beauty and disease resistance thanks to it's hybrid lineage. This cultivar takes all of the great qualities of the Stellar Pink® dogwood and adds attractive variegated foliage for year round interest. Named for the gorgeous light pink and white blooms and variegated foliage, this small tree will light up a shady space or provide a mid-late spring focus in your garden. Bright green glossy leaves with white trim emerge in spring and are tougher than cornus florida, so less bothered by insects. Blooms come in mid-spring blanketing the tree in pink color.
Due to it's size and beauty, it is an outstanding tree for near the home, planting among shade trees, or anywhere in the garden. In the spring it will come alight with large white flowers and in the summer its elegant upward form provides a great showpiece nestled among other trees or structures. For those who want all of the characteristics of a dogwood, intense blooms, and extra hardiness, this tree is an outstanding choice.
