This phlox was a stand out specimen in our search for a long-lasting, heaving blooming white flower. For those that have grown phlox you know that powdery mildew can stress plants. This cultivar exhibits additional resistances that will help you stay mildew free if you provide the right conditions.
We selected white because it is a very important color in the garden. It will let the eyes rest and engage with color in the garden. On its own it will provide a sensibility and elegance to your hard-scapes. Like a stunning wedding dress, white will highlight and accentuate the natural beauty around it.
Flame White is an improved tall garden phlox that has beauty, but also accentuates the colors around it. With large panicles of white flowers at the end of strong green stems it is a plant that simply looks outstanding in bloom. At 2 ft. tall it makes a great midsized plant for a garden bed or edge garden the high white panicles look organized and beautiful the late spring and early summer. Flame white has improved resistance to powdery mildew and make this phlox useful to gardens of many skill ranges and in a wide variety of conditions.

Phlox Paniculata Flame White
Tall garden phlox as a plant takes and average amount of care. It grows well when planted in a mulched bed with good well-drained soil and benefits from deadheading. It benefits from good ventilation which will prevent powdery mildew, which can be a challenge with phlox. Mild cases of mildew are only a cosmetic problem, but more serious cases will distress the plant.
