The distinguishing characteristics of the 'Satomi' or 'Miss Satomi' kousa dogwood cultivar are a gentle layered form, blooms that open white and transform into a luxurious pink, and red edible fruits. Kousa dogwoods have a later and longer bloom time and the flowers will last around 6 weeks from June to July. In the fall the fruit ripens and 'Satomi' dogwood leaves turn a deep purplish red. The mature height of this tree is 15 to 20 ft. with a mature spread of 15 to 20 ft. Like most kousa dogwoods the Satomi should be pruned carefully by someone with experience to maintain and enhance the elegant layered appearance.

Looks healthy, but still dormant. Waiting for it to leaf out.
Although the tree took an extended delivery time, it arrived in great condition. It was expertly packaged, it is an excellent specimen and I am looking forward to next Spring’s blossoms.
I received the dogwood very quickly and when I unwrapped it, it was in perfect condition. Tiny new leaves were beginning to show. Much bigger than I anticipated and far more reasonably priced than nurseries where I live. Shipping was free. I can't wait to see it in bloom. Very pleased
Nice size and healthy tree. The trunk has a bend from a very ugly union. Looks like it’s been done by an undergrad at Rutgers University ! But it’s fine.
