We selected The Fuchsia is Bright due to it's consistent color and large blooms. 41/2 inch flowers emerge coneflower pink with darker pink streaking that adds a nice bit of contrast to each flower upon close inspection and an excellent subtle hued shading at a distance. They have the exceptional garden performance you expect from most Proven Winners®. Plants are consistently sized, and flowers are a medium height at 20-22 inches perfect for the middle of a border garden.
When we select echinacea, we focus on disease resistance, consistency, and display. the COLOR CODED® series are propagated from tissue culture to ensure they are virus free and very consistent in shape and height. Strong stems keep the flowers upright after wind or rain.
Coneflower, also known as echinacea, is a wonderful perennial native to the U.S. midwest and prairies. They are excellent late season food for pollinators and winter food for many birds. You'll find they do best in a light loamy soil, but can thrive in any well-drained soil. Full sunlight and heat are best for full flowering, while they can tolerate some light shade, we recommend at least 6 hours of full sun each and every day. Once established they are very drought resistant making them a great plant for those looking for a low water/ low maintenance garden. As a perennial flower, if cared for correctly echinacea will return with new growth each year.
