This baptisia first of it's type, it has bright yellow foliage that glows amongst darker greens in the garden. In late spring to early summer purple flowers emerge and age into a deeper purple as the season wears on. We think this baptisia is a true show stopper. Used in tandem with dark greens or purples it has the ability to pop right out of the landscape.
Baptisia is easy to grow and will thrive with little maintenance. There are many potential applications in the landscape including meadow plantings, as a backdrop in borders, or as a specimen. Plants are very long-lived once established as the deep tap roots of baptisia are evolved to survive the conditions of the North American prairie.
